Tree sprit 2021

Brad 一直對樹木有著特殊情感與親和力; 他在森林環繞的洛基山脈中長大。 人類在日常生活中使用樹木資材隨處可見，只有少數人為它們停下來思酌...這 些筆記本、床架、火柴棒、面紙...的來源。 藝術家刻意透過使用過的樹木相關產品為媒材來建構這系列作品，包括老屋拆 撤下的木材、鋼琴中的木料、水墨、紙張和樹脂等，擷取其自然又人工的意 象，藝術家試圖重建並形塑出這些日常物件與森林之間的聯繫與人之脈絡。

Brad has always had an affinity for trees; he grew up in the Rocky Mountains, surrounded by forests, and he spent summers during his university years in the same mountains, planting more than 300,000 trees. Humanity uses trees for so many things in daily life, but few people pause to think where their notebook, bed frame, matchstick, or tissue came from.

Using largely tree products, including wood, sumi ink, paper, and resin, Brad hopes to capture nature imagery and draw a connection between found, everyday objects and the forests from which they are made.
