Taiwan · Contemporary Figurative Illustration

Born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 1990, Chen Ting-An graduated from the Department of Art and Design at National Hsinchu University of Education. She lived in France for two years, immersing herself in contemporary French illustration techniques and the humanities. Through these cultural and artistic exchanges, she developed a profound understanding of the philosophy that art is an integral part of life. Her creative work spans illustration, graphic design, and mixed-media art. She excels at creating nostalgic, vintage-style visuals through her use of color and line, and she constantly explores new creative possibilities by experimenting with diverse materials. In 2019, she illustrated the picture book “Am I a Cat or a Rabbit,” which was selected by the Ministry of Education as a recommended book for primary and secondary school students for 2021. Since 2010, she has been actively involved in theater production—creating stage props and character IP designs—with groups such as Conch-Chicken Theater and Alleys Plan B Theater. Her portfolio includes numerous stage productions, such as “Bad Eggs,” “The Drifting Diary of the Young Wolf and the Sheep,” and “Youth Whispers: City Edition 2023.”
